Biography
Clifford “Cliff” A. Clancey is a Partner in the Los Angeles office of Zelms Erlich Lenkov. He is the chair of the Amusement Park litigation practice.
Mr. Clancey received his Juris Doctor from Southwestern University. He received his Bachelor of Arts with honors from the University of Notre Dame, where he was a member of the university’s boxing team.
Mr. Clancey has extensive experience in civil litigation specializing in catastrophic injuries, complex litigation, amusement park litigation, products liability, premises liability, professional sports’ teams, retail and restaurant litigation, food borne illness, brokerage liability, motor vehicle accidents, commercial trucking accidents, medical malpractice, security guard litigation, construction defect, civil rights, and construction injuries.
Mr. Clancey has spent more than 20 years aggressively defending Fortune 500 companies and insurance companies in high stakes litigation including wrongful death, traumatic brain injuries, cervical and lumbar surgeries, and amputation. Mr. Clancey has represented clients throughout California in state and federal court. He has taken depositions from coast to coast for his clients.
Mr. Clancey is a member of the California State Bar, the Los Angles Bar Association, the National Retail and Restaurant Defense Association, and the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel. He has repeatedly been named a Super Lawyer, a distinction that is awarded to no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in a state.
Mr. Clancey has conducted numerous successful bench and jury trials resulting in defense verdicts or non-suits for his clients.
