Biography
Fatima Badreddine is a partner in the Phoenix office of Zelms Erlich Lenkov and is licensed in Arizona and Texas. She is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, District of Arizona. Her practice areas include professional liability, personal injury, and civil litigation. Prior to joining the firm, she worked at civil firms in San Antonio, Dallas, and Phoenix. She also served as a Deputy County Attorney in Maricopa and Mohave Counties.
She has completed civil and criminal jury trials, including the following:
- In July 2021 in Dallas County, Ms. Badreddine assisted in obtaining a defense verdict in an uninsured motorist hit and run accident lawsuit.
- In June 2021 in Dallas County, Ms. Badreddine was first chair and obtained a defense verdict in a motor vehicle accident lawsuit. The trial was one of the first in Dallas County following the reopening of the Courts, which had been closed for months due to COVID.
- In February 2018, the Arizona Court of Appeals upheld the dismissal of a lawsuit filed by Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Ms. Badreddine assisted Mr. Zelms in obtaining the dismissal.
- In November 2017, Ms. Badreddine assisted Mr. Zelms in obtaining a very favorable verdict for a severe trucking/bus accident trial where the injured Plaintiff required neck, shoulder, and lower back surgery resulting in nearly $400,000 in medical bills and related damages. The Plaintiff requested $1.2 Million from the jury, but the jury returned a verdict less than the value of the medical bills and claimed damages.
Ms. Badreddine graduated from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in 2012 with pro bono distinction. While attending law school, she assisted in criminal jury and bench trials, as well as hearings, with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office under Rule 39(c)(4)(C) of the Rules of the Arizona Supreme Court. She enjoys CrossFit, running, cycling, hiking, and nutrition.
