Jennifer Stanley

Jennifer Stanley is an Associate Attorney in the California office of Zelms Erlich Lenkov.

Ms. Stanley’s current practice focuses on civil litigation, including appellate matters, healthcare and medical malpractice matters, and labor and employment matters involving discrimination and harassment claims.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Stanley gained significant experience in federal court practice and civil litigation. She served for more than five years in the federal court system, where she conducted investigations, interviewed defendants, analyzed complex criminal histories, and prepared presentence reports and sentencing recommendations for the Court. She regularly appeared at federal sentencing hearings, responded to objections from counsel on the record, and worked closely with federal judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, courtroom deputies, and law enforcement agencies.

Ms. Stanley also has experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, family law, employment, finance and debt disputes, and other civil matters. She previously served as a judicial law clerk and completed a government internship while in law school.

Ms. Stanley earned her Juris Doctor from the University of La Verne College of Law. While in law school, she competed on the Moot Court Team and served on the Board of Advocates. She received the Best Petitioner Brief Award, Best Team Award, and Most Improved Advocate Award in the University of La Verne College of Law Advanced Appellate Advocacy Competition.

She earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Philosophy from Saint Mary’s College of California.

Ms. Stanley is admitted to practice law in California.

Outside of the office, Ms. Stanley enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, gardening, running, practicing Pilates, and writing poetry.
