Biography
Maryam Karson has been an attorney since 2003. She practices litigation defense in an array of legal disputes, including trust and fiduciary matters, employment law, contract and real estate law, and attorney malpractice suits. Maryam also represents attorneys and other professionals before state licensing boards.
Maryam loves her work and dives deeply into legal issues. She commits to rendering exemplary service and understands the value of her clients’ time. It is rare for her to not respond to an email from a client of hers on the same day she receives it.
Prior to joining Zelms Erlich Lenkov, Maryam ran a solo practice. She began her legal career as a panel attorney for the Sixth District Appellate Program and has had the pleasure of volunteering as a judge and a scorer for high school mock trial competitions held at San Mateo County Superior Court.
Maryam has been associated with the American Bar Association, the Santa Clara County Bar Association, the San Mateo County Bar Association, the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, the National Employment Lawyers Association, and the California Employment Lawyers Association. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Law School, and earned her place in the Order of the Coif in 2004.
