Shivani Desai

Shivani Desai is an Associate Attorney at Zelms Erlich Lenkov in the Los Angeles office. Ms. Desai is admitted to both the California State Bar and the Law Society of Ontario.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Desai practiced as a litigation attorney in Toronto, Ontario, where she specialized in defending insurance companies and their clients. She worked as an Associate at a mid-sized insurance defense firm in downtown Toronto. During her time in private practice, she second-chaired a seven-week jury trial. Following this, she worked as an in-house Trial Attorney at Allstate Insurance Company of Canada. Ms. Desai has appeared before various levels of courts and tribunals on complex matters.

Ms. Desai earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor in 2021. During her time in law school, Ms. Desai actively participated in numerous mooting competitions. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, completed in 2016.

Outside of work, Ms. Desai is passionate about staying active through yoga, hiking, and weightlifting. She also loves to explore new destinations through travel.
