Zelms Erlich Lenkov congratulates associate Victoria Alvarez on receiving the Wiley W. Manuel Certificate for Pro Bono Legal Services from the California Lawyers Association.
Victoria volunteers with the Domestic Violence Clinic of the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program at One Safe Place, where she helps victims of domestic violence obtain restraining orders against their abusers. Most of her clients are women and minors, and she also assists individuals in elder abuse and civil harassment matters.
The certificate recognizes Victoria’s voluntary legal service to disadvantaged individuals and her commitment to expanding access to justice.
Named in honor of Justice Wiley W. Manuel, the first African American justice to serve on the California Supreme Court, the recognition celebrates legal professionals who dedicate their time and skills to serving those in need.
